Jinwan Huafa International: A Symbol of China's Aviation Ascent

Architectural Brilliance Meets Aerodynamic Inspiration in Zhuhai's Skyline

The Jinwan Huafa International Business Center is a unique blend of commercial and residential districts. The design is intended to create an active and animated waterfront development at the northern end of Jinshan Lake. The commercial district features twin towers, designed as simple, dynamic gateway towers in strong dialogue with each other. The residential district, on the other hand, consists of five independent towers surrounding a central garden, providing residents with a serene view of Jinshan Lake.

The design of the Jinwan International Business Center is driven by a commitment to sustainability. The towers and podium are regular in shape, creating an economically efficient design that is simple to construct and extremely cost-effective. Passive environmental strategies, such as wind and solar orientation, façade shading devices, and high-performance glass, are integral to the design.

The project, which began in mid-2016, is expected to be completed in 2022. The design was crafted in Hong Kong, with the towers strategically oriented to maximize views of the waterfront and the natural environment. The two towers frame views through the center of the site and maintain a strong axial relationship to the prominent north-south axis of the district.

One of the major challenges faced by the design team was creating a landmark that would not only stand out in the new development district but also attract visitors and boost the region's economy in the long run. The solution was to design the paired towers to sit prominently at the center of the northern edge of the new lakefront, creating a symbolic gateway and a new landmark representing the district.

The Jinwan Huafa International Business Center was awarded Silver in the A' Construction and Real Estate Projects Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is a testament to the project's outstanding design, technical excellence, and innovative approach. The design is a reflection of the future prominence of China within the aviation industry and is set to become a landmark of Jinwan Aviation City.
